Thriving location in Melbourne to invest
With an estimated population of 5.078 million (2019), Melbourne ranks the second-most populous city in Australia. As Australia opens its borders to overseas travellers and new migrants, it will be interesting to see if Melbourne will have the same level of attraction (or better) compared to other cities.
We are already seeing an increase in the demand for affordable accommodation in big cities like Melbourne as international students and skilled work visa holders are filling up units.
According to recent data, an estimated 100,000 migrants will come to Australia in 2022 and 2023. And from there, we can expect an increase to 200,000 per year.
Last month we analysed recent migration data with focus on affordability and discussed why units are a good investment option.
